About the Project

FeedHack is a tool built to collaborate in real time with other artists across the globe. It is an open source video chat tool that can hook into any input you provide it such as you favourite VJ software, your camera, your browser, your music software.

Feedhack creates a canvas where users can share their outputs and re-mix them in the browser together. Everyone gets control over everyones content. It's full chaos, full control, improvised collaborative 'art streaming'.

About the People

FeedHack was born during the Covid-19 lockdown period as a way for the Art Hack crew to continue doing their regular A/V jam sessions. Art Hack is a creative space where those who cross between tech and art gather weekly. At ArtHack we have drum machines in suitcases, VJ tools being built (see Visor), music making tools being built (see Loop Drop), and a perfect blend of chaos, creativity, and collaboration.

Currently designed, developed and maintained Matt (a.k.a DESTROY WITH SCIENCE / @NOISEISSUES / music producer / developer) and Kelly (@Kellective / VJ Kellective / product designer ) and with the support and collaboration from the Live:js network - An international collective of audio and visual artists who build live experiences, shows and installations.
